I’ve said it thousands of times. The Myers Cocktail- IV infusions have made my life truly manageable. At first like you, I was highly skeptical. Now, I can’t live without it. Here is a little breakdown about what IV infusions do. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me.

Intravenous (IV) therapy, such as the Myers Cocktail, is a way to introduce nutrients and therapeutic agents directly into the bloodstream. It can be used to correct deficiencies, enhance immune function, increase energy and assist in maintaining health. The benefit of IV therapy over oral nutrition is that nutrients bypass the digestive system, are infused in high concentrations and optimally nourish the body’s cells and tissues. Vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other natural agents can be administered in a pleasant relaxing atmosphere while a person reads, listens to music, or rests.

IV therapy is often used to support a person with chronic or severe illness, those undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatments as well as those with chronic fatigue. The Myers Cocktail is pertinent to those with digestive disorders or those simply wishing to enhance their energy levels.

Depending on the physician administering the IV, they will either use a syringe push or larger IV drips (plastic or bag). My MD uses the syringe push. It doesn’t hurt and I’m done literally in 5 minutes. The only thing I feel during the treatment is a little funky heat in my pelvic area, which isn’t so bad (wink)…actually makes me laugh when it happens. :o)

If anyone is considering the IV treatment, I’m here for you and can answer most of your questions. Please check into it today, your body will thank you.

God Bless~

Hi,I've had trouble with fatigue for as long, or maybe a bit longer, than I've had Crohn's. I've gotten bloodtests and results have usually come back normal (though blood tests can be far from conclusive). In any case, I'm wondering how you were introduced to IV infusions and how effective they've been at alleviating fatigue. Are most or all people who use them actually deficient, or do some people use them simply to get higher in the “normal” range for whatever vitamins? Thanks.

The Myers Cocktail pretty much saved my life. I was so deathly lethargic; I stayed in bed all day. My life was crumbling before my eyes and the doctors couldn't help. My husband was training a medical doctor named Dr. Caroline Matzinger in Las Vegas. She is a 45 year old woman who is an active bodybuilder. John was telling her my symptoms and she asked me to come in. With the first infusion, my life changed. I can't explain all of it but first and foremost, my enengy was out the roof, my hair stopped falling out, my skin color came back, my lips were hydrated, my stomach pain ceased. That is just to name a few. And after 2 months of treatment, I forgot I had nasty Crohns. She put me on all natural supplements that I take daily. I count on them to save my life. Each patient has a different reason for using vitamin therapy. Some just need a boost and others like me need them because Crowns patients cannot absorb vitamins. Hope that helps.

First and foremost, thank you very much for putting this out there. I am a 10+ year Crohn's and Hashimoto's patient and in May started Myers Cocktail IV with 400 ML of glutathione. I had Ulcerative Colitis that was than diagnosed as Crohn's, as it happens for many of us. Shortly after my daughter was born I began chronic bleeding. No matter what I did it wouldn't stop and I found myself on Humira. I removed a root canal that I had no idea was packed with amalgam. That tooth was one of the first pulled and when it was the bleeding stopped within 48 hours. Within a year I no longer needed iron infusions every 6 weeks. I still dealt with fatigue and began dealing with mercury toxicity from amalgams. I began with a simple vitamin c infusion and I felt like someone lifted a veil off. I continued them for 10 weeks. I was terrific for over a month without the infusions. After some brutal travel and two Crohn's triggers which I was able to put an end to the attack within hours(in the past I would suffer for weeks above and beyond my usual suffering). I took one infusion about 2 weeks ago and instead of feeling re-energized, I am back to where I was when I first started the infusions, I would feel fatigued a few days after the infusion. Each of my infusions added another component of a Myer's cocktail and finally the glutathione. I was taking these every 5-10 days and eventually there was no fatigue in between infusions. I recently food I am able to tolerate goat's milk kefir again. I read 50-75% of Hashimoto's patients become fatigues and increase thyroid antibodies after drinking goats milk. I hate to give it up because caprylic acid is a wonderful thing for Crohn's and mercury toxicity. Do you think if I started the infusions again the fatigue would vanish? How far apart should I schedule the infusions. I am thinking I would start them 5 days apart and then move them accordingly. It felt so good to be normal. IV's are a pretty expensive path and I would like to get the most for my dollar. Thank You.

I know this is an older post, but I wanted to know if you are still using IV therapy? And if so, are you still experiencing the same results? I am supposed to start Humira and am having reservations and would like to try the IV and see if that helps my issues first. Thank you.

Christina, yes! I will never stop having the IV therapy treatments. Let me tell you this, although everyone is different in response to the disease and the medications, I feel like Humira almost killed me. It turned my body into a 90 year old. After 9 months I had to come off it and I've never felt better. Now, like I said, that's me. I will never go on another biologic and will do everything I can to heal myself from within.
