Leaving home when you have Crohn’s is a high-stakes adventure. Here’s how it usually goes:

🚗 Step 1: Bathroom check before I leave. Do I feel okay? Is my gut behaving? (It always lies.)
🏪 Step 2: Map out all restrooms. Grocery store? ✅ Gas station? ✅ Friend’s house? Too risky, cancel plans.
🥤 Step 3: Regret drinking that tiny sip of water. Why do I always do this to myself?
🚦 Step 4: Traffic jam = instant panic. There is no worse feeling than needing a bathroom while stuck behind a slow-moving tractor.
🚽 Step 5: FINALLY find a restroom. It’s locked. Of course it is.
🥵 Step 6: Public restroom panic. Why are all stalls taken?! This is an emergency, people!!
💨 Step 7: The quickest exit of my life. I pretend like nothing happened while speed-walking out of there.
🏡 Step 8: I finally make it home. Safe! Secure! Bathroom access!
😤 Step 9: Gut is suddenly fine now. Oh, now you behave? Great timing.
🤦♀️ Step 10: Repeat the cycle tomorrow.
Crohn’s makes every trip an adventure.
Stay Strong.
