If I could sit down with every healthy person in my life, here’s what I’d want them to know:

💜 I don’t “choose” to be flaky. I cancel plans because my body makes the decisions—not me.

💜 I don’t look sick, but I feel sick. Just because I’m not in a hospital bed doesn’t mean I’m not struggling every day.

💜 I appreciate your patience. When you check in, when you adapt, when you understand—it means everything.

💜 I still want to be included. Even if I can’t always show up, please keep inviting me. Knowing I’m still wanted matters.

💜 I am doing my best. I fight every single day. Some days, I win. Some days, Crohn’s wins. But I never stop trying.

If you love someone with Crohn’s, just be there. That’s all we really need.

Stay Strong.
