Food and I have a complicated relationship. Some days, we get along fine. Other days? It’s like my gut is personally offended by everything I eat.

But after years of trial and error, I’ve found a handful of foods that are mostly safe. So here’s what a typical day of eating looks like for me:

🥣 Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with white toast and a banana. Protein, gentle carbs, and no surprises.

🍚 Lunch: White rice with grilled salmon and a mild lemon drizzle. Easy on digestion but still filling.

🍵 Afternoon snack: Applesauce or a smoothie with almond milk and protein powder. Something light but energy-boosting.

🍲 Dinner: Chicken noodle soup with soft-cooked veggies. Comforting and gentle on the stomach.

🥛 Drinks: Chamomile tea, water, and definitely no carbonated drinks. I like my intestines in one piece, thanks.

It’s not the most exciting menu, but you know what? It works. And that’s all that matters.
