Food is tricky with Crohn’s. Some days, I can eat certain foods without a problem. Other days, the same food feels like a personal attack on my intestines.

But over the years, I’ve found some safe, go-to comfort foods that don’t betray me:

  • Bananas – Easy to digest and full of potassium.
  • Mashed potatoes – Soft, gentle, and basically a warm hug for my stomach.
  • Chicken and rice – Bland? Yes. Safe? Also yes.
  • Scrambled eggs – Protein-packed and easy on the gut.
  • Smoothies – When solid food isn’t an option, a well-blended smoothie can save the day.

I won’t lie—sometimes, I miss spicy tacos and crunchy popcorn. But I’ve also learned that nothing tastes as good as not being in pain feels.

Stay Strong!
