Dear Crohn’s,

You’ve been with me for years. You’ve taken things from me—energy, freedom, food I once loved. You’ve forced me to cancel plans, miss out on memories, and redefine what “normal” means.

But here’s what you haven’t taken:

💜 My resilience.
💜 My ability to laugh at the absurdity of my symptoms.
💜 My love for my children, even on my worst days.
💜 My refusal to let you win.

You’ve tested me. You’ve broken me. But you’ve also taught me. You taught me to appreciate my good days. You taught me to slow down. You taught me that I am stronger than I ever imagined.

So while I would love for you to pack up and leave forever, I also know that as long as you’re here, I will keep fighting.

Sincerely,
Me (your unwilling but undefeated host)
