Where did I leave my brain?

Today someone (Holly) asked me what my goals and missions were. I looked at her probably with the oddest face I could muster up, glared at her for just a few seconds then turned and walked away from her and headed back into my office. As I sat in my big comfy “Crohn’s” chair (soft for the tush) I couldn’t for the life of me answer her, because I forgot what they were. My goals? My mission? What’s my stance? I can’t even remember the person I just had a 45 minute conversation with on the phone was, so who would expect me to remember my goals. Right? I have so much on my plate up top of not feeling well thanks to Mrs. Crohns that how was I to remember anything!

Ah, so wrong. Your goals, your mission, your motto, your life’s purpose, your drive, whatever you have named it…. should and foremost be somewhere visible to you 24 hours a day, even if you know it by heart, write it down post it, slap it and stick it on every surface you can find. Our goals give us something to look forward to , and without that- we someone remain monitored and in robot state. Because I didn’t take my own advise this state of robotics is where I live right now. My marriage is crumbling, I’m almost to old to have a child, our businesses are out of control, the staff is out of control, three mortgage, personal health care and everything, is well just out of control.

So, as everyone goes to lunch I sit here in the office taking a breath (in the bathroom no less). This is where I find my quiet time, the potty. I realized that I am the leader of my ship and if my head isn’t on straight, life become unmanageable. So, I slapped myself a few times and decided to wake up. I think the temporary sleep mode was my way of avoidance, and ladies, we’re big girls! We can handle more in one day then most men can handle in a month. We are the survivors, we ROCK! Who fought the crowds and jeopardized their own lives to save Jesus??? WOMEN! That’s who. So, when you are feeling a little down and almost to the point of tossing in the towel, just take a big girl breath and slap yourself. If you need help, call me and I’ll slap you through the phone.

Recognize who you are and what you are made of. When you think you can’t make it another day, say a prayer and press on. You’ll see that you are stronger than you think you are, you are more capable then you give yourself credit for. You can do it and you alone. So, for you Holly (PITA), I say this to you. My business goals are as follows:

1. Help women be more in touch with their bodies and with who they are
2. Assist women in making truly informed choices about their health and well-being, supplementation speaking.
3. Educate as many women on natural approaches to weight loss and other natural solutions for other ailments.
4. Change our perspectives towards our self image, help women re-program their thinking to love the body they have now, the soul and heart that God gave them now….in the present.
5. Most importantly, let other women know they are loved by someone they have never met!

My passion for women’s issues still remain strong. Many women of America do not understand their bodies very well at all. In fact, we don’t understand many of the health issues women face because our government decided some time ago that we should not be intelligently informed. Although, many of us see doctors and other health providers as the answers to all, it’s sad to say that they have not been intelligently informed either. With all due respect to the medical profession, doctors are not taught natural solutions in school. They are not taught about natural remedies, nutrition, herbs, stress management or relaxation techniques. Preventative maintenance- what’s that? 10 years ago, that word was shunned upon, especially through insurance health care providers. Anything that was coded for maintenance care was immediately DENIED! Sadly, all of these are critical for your best health, and the medical society should have been responsible for some of it.

My sister is a Chiropractor, and from the moment I began working for her I learned the importance of finding the cause not just medicating it. Getting to the root of the cause, finding answers to why we feel the way we do, why the body reacts in certain situations. Since working for her, I find that my mission, my goals are to help women find the cause, the root and go forward from there- not just slap a band aide on our injury or illness and hope for the best. Just like our Crohn’s meds, they are just covering up the symptoms, how do we heal the cause. I don’t want meds to just make me feel better, I want to heal myself.

Our perceptions and attitudes are crucial factors in any health condition and whether or not your experience will be positive or negative. My wish is that every woman and man come to a realization of their worth, develop new and healthy perceptions of yourself, your body, your health and your lifestyle because the most powerful experience is when you finally and truthfully reconnect to your innate spirit, and know that you are a unique and special ~ One of a Kind! Demand the best!
